Parameter descriptions
| logo | A logo of the martial art group. Should be placed using the syntax "imagename.ext"(e.g. logo=JKD.jpg). |
| logocaption | A caption to be used with the logo. |
| logosize | The size of the logo. If no value is placed, the default value of 150px is used. |
| image | A sample image of the martial art group. This could be a notable practitioner or an image of someone practicing it. The syntax is the same as for the logo. |
| imagecaption | A caption to be used with the image. |
| imagesize | The size of the image. If no value is placed, the default value of 200px is used. |
| name | The name of the martial art group. |
| aka | Alternative names for the martial art group. |
| date founded | The date the school or organization was founded. |
| country | The country of origin. The area's flag should precede the name using the template {{flagicon}} |
| founder | If known, the founder's name and dates of birth and death formatted according to WP:DATE. If unknown, state "unknown." |
| head | The individual(s) currently in charge of the martial arts group |
| arts | The "type" of martial arts taught (e.g., karate, taekwondo, t'ai chi ch'uan). If the group teaches more than one martial art, separate them with a bullet (e.g., karate • taekwondo • t'ai chi ch'uan) |
| ancestor arts | The martial arts that inspired this group. (inclusion of this parameter is currently under debate) |
| descendant arts | The martial arts that were inspired by this group. (inclusion of this parameter is currently under debate) |
| ancestor schools | Many martial arts schools and organizations have schools that branch off from the original school. List the parent organizations or schools here, separated by bullets. |
| descendant schools | List the branch schools or organizations (not individual schools by location). |
| notable pract | Notable practitioners of the martial art group. |
| website | The official website of the martial art group. |
