Forces

There are two categories of forces within the Cosmic Septuple: Forces of nature, which are necessary for life to exist in some way or form, and the Essence Forces, which were created by the Weaver named the Dissenter who inadvertently brought Good and Evil into existence.

Of the two, the Essence Forces, also called the "Forces of Alignment", are the most convoluted and disillusioning.

Essence Forces

The Essence Forces are the two—technically three—natural primordial powers which exist in Creation that may direct and determine a person's mental and even physiological being. There are only two widely-believed powers: Light and Darkness. A third and lesser-known power, Gloam, also exists, but it is secretive in nature.

Light

Light is the "right" alignment associated with goodness and the supposed manifestation of all things good. As an Essence Force, Light is an alignment that can be linked to the body, objects, locations, powers, and spirit. Colors associated with it are, most infamously, white, as well as the colors blue or gold. It is also associated with warmth, cleanliness, and daylight. Furthermore, it is considered the "gentler" force, often fueled by things such as the emotion of love and the bonds between people.

In its base form, Light is an emotional, ardent force believed to allow one to overcome and prevail over difficulties as well as "purify". In this way, it can be used in a harmful, violent manner towards Darkness, which can be seen as delicate with the raw emotions it is associated with.

Darkness

Darkness is the "left" alignment associated with evil and the supposed manifestation of all things evil. As an Essence Force, Darkness is an alignment that can be linked to the body, objects, locations, powers, and spirit. Colors associated with it are, most infamously, black, as well as the color violet. It is also associated with cold, filth, and night. Furthermore, it is considered the "primal" force, often fueled by emotions like fear, hate, and desire. Because of this, however, it can be seen as delicate or flimsy, be it that it is associated with such raw emotions.

Darkness is a raw, dangerous force in its base form, able to consume what it is aligned with if it is not the object or person's natural alignment from birth or creation. Locations that naturally exist from Darkness often have the ability to assimilate, or consume, whatever enters them.

Gloam

A secretive alignment, Gloam is unknown to most scholars and people, even those who are naturally aligned with it. Not much is or ever has been known about it.

It is the "middle" alignment associated with "grey morals".
